Hey! I'm Morgan! Your friendly neighborhood social media specialist!
Contact me @ morganevans436@gmail.com
I recently graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's in Literary Arts.
In my spare time I enjoy writing, (my most recent project is a pen and paper TTRPG that allows you
to build the spaceship of your dreams and explore a galaxy ravaged by megacorporations,) skateboarding,
and gaming with my pals!
Games have the power to bring people together and tell amazing stories. I love working in the industry
and getting to meet so many other people who share my passion for bringing people joy!
I am currently based out of Asheville, NC but am willing to relocate almost anywhere.
I also have produced a ton of narrative work. If you are looking for my writing portfolio, click here.
You can also check out the comics I wrote with TAG right here!
I've done a bunch of stuff, but my main wheelhouse is community management.
I worked for Those Awesome Guys for two years!
Managing IP's like
I excel at creating and maintaining welcoming environments in Discord servers
and on other social media channels, especially Tik Tok and Twitter, although
I am also fluent in the languages of Reddit and Steam forums.
I'm also on tumblr more than I should be, and while I haven't yet developed a tumblr presence
for a brand, it's something I've always wanted to try!
I built my own Tik Tok audience to over 100k followers, and have had great success building large
followings for indie games.
In my time at Those Awesome Guys, I started a Tik Tok account for the company and grew its following
from nothing to 50 Thousand Followers!
Working at an Indie Studio requires one to wear a lot of hats. Here are some other services I performed
while working with TAG: (Click To Learn More)
I'm very adaptable and am able to acclimate to new roles and positions easily and quickly.
Crisis management is an integral skill for Community Managers of all skill levels and is one of my
strong suits. I excel under pressure and am able to lead a team out of difficult positions while
remaining calm.
I love community management. Interfacing with members of a tight knit group of gamers, or even creating
that group of players will always be satisfying. But, eventually I would love to work more closely on
shaping the world of a game. I would love to write lore for a gameworld, either established or novel.
I've always been inspired by Narrative Directors and would one day like to occupy a similar position!
I play a lot of different games and am still working my way through my itch.io library! Mostly, I play FPS
games with a strong focus on narrative, like Destiny 2, Skyrim, and Fallout 4.
I also adore visual novels, and the often queer stories they tell, like ValiDate and Monster Prom (of course).
Grand strategy games are a mainstay in my gaming group, like Stellaris and Cities Skylines.
I try to diversify my media consumption whenever possible, consuming the weird, strange, and novel so I can
enhance my own creative practices.
Game development has long been a hobby of mine, especially when I served as a Executive Board member of the
Brown RISD Game Development Club. Click here for some of the projects I developed independently and with the club.
